    Wehrpass issued to Willy Lubosch in 1937, he would serve with the following units: 1934 – Infanterie Regiment 9 1935 – Infanterie Regiment Görlitz 1936 – Artillerie Regiment 76 1939 – 1943 – Artillerie Lehr Regiment 1 – Jüterbog 1944 – Artillerie Regiment 171 It seems in all his time in the Reichswehr and Wehrmacht he was trained on the following weapons systems: K98 Rifle, MG08, Luger P08, Light Field Gun 18, Light Machine Gun 13, Light Field Cannon 16, Light Field Cannon 18. Trained in the following roles: Horse rider, medical stretcher carrier, Gunner, NCO, troop leader. Promotions:  would raise the ranks till his final promotion in April 1945 to Oberwachtmeister. 21.5.1944 – Iron Cross Second Class 29.4.1945 – Iron Cross First Class 25.3.1944 – Black Wounds Badge 17.4.1945 – Wounds Badge in Silver (AR171) His last unit would prove to be quite interesting:  15.3. 24.3.1944 – 2. Defensive Battles at Cassino 12.5.1944 – 31.5.1944 – 3. Defensive Battles at Cassino and Liri 1.6.1944 – 13.6.1944 – Removed via lake Lago Trasimeno to Chieti 1.7.1944 – 25.8.1944 – Defensive battles near Ancona and retreat/fall back near Adria 26.8.1944 – 27.9.1944 – Defensive battles north of the Appenin on the Adria, and defensive battles near Rimini. Final comments: A nice prewar soldier career and fought till the last days of the war, 11 years service. The battles around Monte Cass

    Brothers Hugo and Klaus both fell in combat.  Wehrpass 1 – Gefreiter Hugo Sievers – Killed on the 6th of November 1944 in Galauee / Kurland (Latvia) – born in 1926, Called up in 1943, In August 1944 he was finished his training as a StuG driver. He arrived to his frontline unit : Sturmgeschütz Brigade 912  It was involved in trench warfare in the Idriza-Sebijesh area until June 1944. The German retreat finally came to a halt in the Polotsk area. The 2nd battery then endured tough defensive battles at Lake Shablino. Until the collapse of Army Group Center, the brigade remained in the area on the Pustoschka – Oposchka runway. On July 11, 1944, the Russian offensive between Pskov and Opochka began. In heavy defensive battles, the brigade withdrew through Latvia to the Düna to Courland. Between October 6th and 13th, 1944 she took part in Operation “Donner”, the separation of the 18th Army from the Segewold position and its withdrawal behind the rear of the 16th Army via Riga and Tukkum to Courland. Nice entry for Kurland in the Wehrpass on Page 30. He was killed 6.11.1944 – in Galauce north west of Autz, Latvia. Comes with his death certificate and five letters in covers, from October 1944 to his mother. Could be translated. Wehrpass 2 – Klaus Sievers – Born in 1922, his name was changed in July 1942 to Sievers, seems to have a different mother. He was called up in 1941, trained on the K98 Rifle and the MG34 by April 192 he was with his frontline unit: Infanterie Regiment 257 (83 Inf Div) – killed on the eastern front (Welisch) 6.5.1942.  According to  further research he was killed by an antitank gun. Klaus Wehrpass has his death certificate in the back pouch.     Wehrpass issued to Max Quick, born in Dortmund Germany in 1918. He joined a Flieger replacement unit in July 1939. By 1942, he was with the Stab of the following units: 1. 10 Flieger Division 2. LW Feld Div 3. Fallschrimjäger Abt Nancy – France 4. 2 Fallschirmjäger Div – Stabsquartier Interesting career, on further research Fallschrimjäger Abt Nancy was in battle in the area of Nancy-Luneville. Ground Assault Badge of the Luftwaffe 3. Wounds Badge in Black Final Comments: A nice Wehrpass, worthy of a little more research for the France 1944 collectors. A nice item that would suit any advanced collection of FJ items.

    A set to Hugo Kanwischer, he was a Sporting Pilot before the War. Items include: His licence is included as part of the sale, showing him in the Aero Club Deutschland  – with Period Photo Luftfahrshcein für Flugzuegführer Wehrpass – full with entries Portrait – with Pilots Badge in view Newspaper Cutting from NSFK Flyers dated 1938 According to His Werhrpass, he served in Greece and Serbia. His unit he died with was, Feldwerft Abteilung 70 in July 1944 in Belgrade, Serbia. Ancestry Card I have added for the research, just states the above.
