According to the Promotion he was with them since December 1943.
In July of 1944, he was hit with a bullet (Russia) and would be sent to a hospital in the rear.
Awards: Iron Cross Second Class, Wounds Badge in BlackÂ
He was sent to: Reservelazarett 109 Berlin, Berlin-Charlottenburg, Westendallee 45
Interestingly he seen the Battle of Berlin as a wounded soldier still recovering, he was given tobacco at the hospital on the 1st of May 1945!
