Description
He served with various units, most interesting seems to be Landeschutzen Batl 487 – they were 6 Companies used for POW Guards! He is trained as a Wachmann – for POWs! In the town of Schüttdorf.

He learned to use the K98 Rifle and the MG34.
His Last Unit was a MG unit – Grenadier Rgt 426 – under the 126 Inf Div. Later that year the unit would find itself in Leningrad.

He was awarded – 1942 – Ost Medal, and in 1943 a Black wounds Badge.
He took part in the Fighting in Wolchow in early 1942.
In 1943 he was shot in the knee, one month later on a transport to the main hospital he died of his wounds received the day before in Penna Russia.
