WWII Imperial Japanese Airforce – Crashed Fighter Receiver TOBI Type 99 – Version 1 (Mk2) – Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (‘Oscar’) – Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki (“Tojo”) – Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (‘Tony’) – Very Rare Original
Description
Here we have an original Tobi Type 99 Japanese Fighter Receiver
We can see that this took a bit of a bash, and this ended up in the USA as a bring back from a US Service Solider or Officer.
The Type 99-3 aircraft transmitter was fitted to such single seater fighters as the Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (‘Oscar’), the Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki (“Tojo”) and the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (‘Tony’). Transmission frequency was 2,500 to 6,700 kHz; reception was 1,500 to 6,700 kHz and the set utilised a crystal oscillator (UY807A) and a anode modulator (UY807A).
We have not seen another one of these for sale in the past, there is a transmitter known in the Australian War Museum.
Item is located at our US Office – Shipping inside the USA Included. If you are outside the US, we will need contacted first.
