Thanks to the buyer that worked out the details of the service of the Soldbuch. 

Soldbuch opened in 1944 to Karl Bauer.

very nice entries in this Soldbuch, 12 days for fighting in combat.

Interestingly, the 5th SB Flottila was sent to the coast of England hitting LSTs of the American Army of the coast of Tor Bay UK. It is likely he took part in the raid. According to another entry, it seems all the 12 days were either in the East or in the English Channel.

Another interesting note is that he was wounded later on in the war, due to a direct hit of a mine at sea.

The award is entered for the 18.9.1944, he is also pictured wearing the award.

In the rear pocket of the Soldbuch is a picture of Bauer wearing his Fast Attack Badge.

Final Comments:
Rare to find these nowadays, I have not seen one on the market for quite sometime.
