Description
Original German Helmet model M1940 made by Quist in the size 54. Corresponding to the markings visible on the interior.
Condition: retains nearly all of the original factory paint and finish, still a little dusty this helmet is a real sleeper. The liner was cut neatly on the pigskin, likely due to the fact it was bloodstained. The owners name is visible on the inside in what seems to be pencil – Maier Franz. The helmet was found in the USA and was likely a bring back from Europe.
A replacement leather would restore this to its former glory, the original leather pins are luckily still attached and the liner band was never separated from the shell or opened.
