Description
Soldbuch to Unteroffizier Kühling
Kühling was born in July 1920, in the Leipzig area.
Soldbuch was issued on the 4th of October 1940.
After training he was assigned to the Panzerjager Abteilung 294, and in 1941 was wounded by a bullet that passed through his upper leg in the southern sector of the Eastern Front.
After his recovery Kühling was assigned to :
Panzer Jäger Abteilung 336 – 336 Infanterie Division.
As a driver of a Marder, his unit would fight until their complete destruction in the Crimea.
On the Mius Front in August 1943, it would seem that Kühlings vehicle was hit and he was wounded once again, this time by a bit of shrapnel and would spend till May 1944 in recovery. When he recovered he was sent directly to a new replacement unit, as his old unit was officially wiped out.
After a short time in a replacement unit, Kühling was according to his Proof of Training assigned to another unit.
Panzerjäger Abteilung 275 – 275 Infanterie Division as a Panzer Handwerker.
It is unknown when exactly Kühling arrived with his new unit although it is clear he was captured by Allied Troops and immediately disarmed but kept in uniform, belonging to the group of German Soldiers who were not immediately taken as prisoners but just lost their arms and assigned to work details.

Comment
A nice Soldbuch to a Marder crew member who seen combat. A nice touch is that the spine of the Soldbuch has been reenforced with a bit of Splinter material. A hard to find Soldbuch, these dont come up often to Marder Crew.
