Original WWII German Army Wehrmacht Soldiers Match Box Holder Helmet Westfront 1940

Description

Vintage metal matchbox cover or holder featuring a raised military-style steel helmet, oak leaves, sword and the word “WESTFRONT” across the front.

The rectangular silver-coloured case is designed to hold a standard sliding matchbox, with part of the original cardboard inner box still present. The front has a detailed embossed design with an aged, darkened finish.

Shows substantial age-related wear, including surface scratches, tarnishing, oxidation, discolouration and areas of plating loss. The cardboard insert is worn, stained and frayed. It has not been cleaned or restored.
