KIA – Wehrpass – 542 Volks Gren Div – KIA near Lublin Poland! 

Karl Jörgensen 

Born in 1912, he was from lägerdorf, in Schleswig. German Nationality, his occupation was a hair Dresser. Education – Volksschule.

He served in various units all across the map, firstly in Poland in 1940, then later in 1940 he would go to France, in 1941 he would move over Lithuania directly towards Smolensk in Russia (9th Army 206 ID) then he would return to the Russian Front!

His last unit was Grenadier Regiment 1077 under the 4th Army on the Eastern Front.

He is buried in Poland in Bartossen / Bartosze (Polen).

He was trained on the K98 Rifle, MG 34 and MG42.
