Dr Walter Hennig born in 1894 in Hamburg. Served in WW1 as an Oberleutnant from 1914 till 1920! He was awarded the Following Awards: Iron Cross Second Class Iron Cross First Class Schaumburg-Lippe Cross The Hanseatic Cross KuK Military Cross Wounds Badge – Wounded Twice in WW1 He fought in France, Romania, Italy and Russia with the following unit: The Westfälisches Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 7 (7th Westphalian Jäger Battalion) of the Imperial German Army played a significant role in World War I, fighting on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
